So for a while my internet at home has been extremely crappy, constantly cutting out etc. My dad contacted our Internet people and they told him that a huge amount of activity was coming from the P2P stuff. And that was the main reason that our internet would constantly cut off, be slow, etc. I only do my torrenting at night from 12am-7am, but apparently even though you've stopped the torrent the tracker will still send people over to get the download or something like that.

How do I fix this? Or lower the level of bandwidth I'm using? I'm using BitSpirit and I've made my upload limit 1kb/s, and marked the option that when I stop a torrent to tell the tracker that I stopped it.

I guess I'm opened to any other torrent programs that uses a lot less bandwidth.

So is there anyway for me to fix this? Thanks
