base dvd-r

    has anyone ever used base dvd-r befor and if they have r they any good?

    Never heard of them? Where did you get them? Can you provide a link? Or better still if you can run one threw Disc Identifier that would help a lot..

    I have seen these only one place. Some local computer store, they were dirt cheap, looked cheap (packaging) and made in China. I wouldnt even consider buying them just on the looks and lack of any type of information on the package. Like they didnt even say what write speed they were.

    yeah they r pretty cheap but they work. all my games i have backed up work good
    manufacturer id: [SKC Co. LtD.
    manufacturer name: [SKC Co. LtD.
    Disk application code: [unrestricted use : consumer purpose]
    Recording speeds: [1x 2x 4x] 8x cannot be detected.
    blank disc capacity: [2,298,496 sectors=4,489.3MB=4.38GB (4.71GB)]

    Well you answered your own question. If they work good for you then keep using them. That would be my recomendation.. :)
