Hey Everyone, When watching a program thru the HD DVR how do I know if it is in HD or not. Also shouldn't the box tell me which channels are HD and which are not. Thanks for ALL the great help.
Depends on the model of DVR. I have a HD box from local cable company. My channels are aptly named with HD following the channel name and also "HDTV" shows on front display of my box. Best bet is to google your DVR model and get the specs from manufactures website.
Believe me you can tell when a program is in HD. HD channels don't always broadcast all HD programs though. Commercials and the programs themselves are quite often taped and broadcast in standard definition on a HD channel.
