I have finally decided to admit defeat in my battle to follow L-Burna's sonic heroes guide and actually get my backup to load.14 coasters and one big headache later I'm still no nearer achieving my aim,and it's not because of the failings of the guide-which is spot on & eventually works for most people, but just not for me unfortunately, despite trying every different method under the sun.
I start therapy on Monday, anyone experiencing same problems are welcome to join me,my psycologist will be sonic himself.
Please let me know of any similar cases as it would provide a crumb of comfort to me to know that I'm not the only one to fail as I head for the corner of the room to lick my wounds!
It seems that if I want a working backup copy of sonic heroes I will just have to shell out for another original copy, such is life!
The strange thing is that my 1:1 first backup (without new dummy file) at least made it to the loading.... screen before freezing, following the guide and trying to load never got me past the pink border on the s.magic dvd 2.0 insert disc screen.
But hey you win some/lose some and as much as it pains me to admit....I know when I'm beaten.
Anyone who has any ideas or has had similar trauma, please let me know-thanks to everyone who has tried to help me so far.

so you finaly gave up then i have and am still looking to find a solution to your problem but suppose you could always try sending a private message to l-burna and see if he can shed any light on what went wrong for you
best of luck with future backups gaz
