HI, I don't have a DVD burner yet but would like some info before I buy one. I was wondering if DVD burners burn CD's. I have two media drives a CD-ROM drive and a CD-RW drive. If DVD burners don't burn CD's I would swap the CD-ROM drive with the DVD burner. If I do, will I have any trouble playing games and CD's and stuff from that DVD drive(basically will it also operate like my CD-Rom drive?) I would appreciate any information on my obviously retarded question.
dvd writer will play and burn cd's there just not dedicated cd burners. This means they won't match the speed of the high speed cdrw writer's.The speed are now starting to move close to the top speeds of cd writers with each new drive put on the market.Personally if i was you i would look at getting a dvd rom and a dvd writer installed.Pioneer 108 is not a bad place to start.
