    Hi ..
I have a via card and have flashed many samsung and hitachi drives no problem.

I downloaded dosflash 32 and the benq ixtreme firmware from xbins.

i booted up windows, turned on my 360, plugged in the sata cable and opened dosflash 32.

it gave me a port error and asked me to redirect mtk vendor.
i selected yes, turned on and off my drive for 1 second .
when the dosflash menu came up it only recognized my samsung 162c drive!

I turned off computer, unplugged both my dvd drives from computer and followed the steps again.

this time it just kept hanging on me and told me no atapi device was connected.

    could somebody please help me?
I followed a tutorial word by word.
why would'nt it recognize the 360 drive?

    Thanks in advance.

Try plugging it in a different SATA Port! I was flashing my Samsung ms28, and it was having trouble locating the Drive, so I plugged it into a different SATA Port, and it located the Drive, and I was able to Flash it.

On this pc i have flashed alot of ms28's and they recognized the drive no problem.
do you mean sata ports on the actual via card?
Have you had a go at flashing a benQ?
    Im really puzzled.
