As you can see from zebadee's post above the GC** series fw appears to be for third party badged BenQ drives, it appears that the Retail versions of the drive with BC** firmware allows you access to more utilities.

Yes I Got A 1655 With Lightscribe..And when i installed it im my Dell Dimension 2400 it rips and burns Dvds with clonedvd really slow...But if i put it in a differant computer it works fine..Anyhelp..
