Hi. I recently bought a BenQ DW1620 DVD-writer, and there is one small thing i am wondering about. I have been writing some data discs in Nero. When i try to open the tray after a burn, it will not open immediately. The light on the tray will be red for a few seconds, and then the tray will open. This only happens after i have been writing a new disc. Is the drive writing something to the disc before the tray opens? And if it is, why isn't it just written during the burning process in Nero instead? (I am using DVD+R media, if that matters).

Dont think it is still buring. Just shutting down the burning engine. You will find that the light goes on when you put a disc in as well
