I've tried Imgburn but have had problems with it burning bad discs. Is this a problem for anyone else? I usually burn the iso at the slowest speed.

Imgburn doesn't burn bad discs. Use verbatims. Sounds like your burner as well.

Do you use the .dvd file when you burn as opposed to the .iso file? Burn the .dvd file.

Have you set the layer break in ImgBurn's settings? Set it to 1913760.

the .dvd file contains the layerbreak so you do not have to manually set that. Make sure you run the ISO through ABGX first, then select the .dvd file and burn at 2.4x.

    Or just use CloneCD...
Seriously, imgburn sucks, I never got why everybody praised it (just kidding).
CloneCD and imgburn are equally good, with some people imgburn works best and others have less problems with CloneCD. Also burning at 2.4x could be part of the problem, if your burner or your disks don't support burning that slow. I don't want to start this discussion again (especially with Modking involved, he has the attention span of a gold fish), but try burning at different speeds, then use the speed that suits you best.

Like I said, ImgBurn is the man!!! er, software.

On another note, I haven't used CloneCD since burning Dreamcast games back in 2001 or 2. Only used ImgBurn since it's release. But I do recognize CloneCD as the true rival to ImgBurn (1 & 2 in no particular order). So like Eisherz said, quote-----> "CloneCD and imgburn are equally good". So if one doesn't like your PC setup, the other should, and if it doesn't, I'd suggest figuring out the problem for either, or both, before trying "crap" like Nero, SureThing, Roxio, etc.

mmmmmm.... Dreamcast...... Who remembers burning games with DiscJuggler?

It sounds like you've tried CloneCD as you're looking for an alternative, and as ImgBurn isn't working out for you, I would look elsewhere other than the software.

Post an ImgBurn log when a disc fails to verify. Which burner are you using? Which firmware is installed on the burner? Have you tried burning at faster speeds (slowest is not always best)? Have you got other software installed that might be interfering with the burn process, such as Daemon Tools?

I've always used clonecd successfully but my subscription expired and I'm looking for a cheaper alternative so you are correct about that funksoulb. IMGBurn has been hit or miss for me. Sometimes it works sometimes not.
