hey guys... im ready to buy an LCD monitor for my ps3 since i can't afford a decent 1080p 42" hdtv.

i figured my old 19" monitor could use an upgrade but at the same time meet my needs of wanting an hdtv for the ps3.

so i've done some research on monitors and i know what makes a monitor good and what doesn't (spec-wise).. i gotta look for contrast ratio.. response time..brightness..inputs (hdmi, dvi, vga).. and lastly PRICE!!

okay so from my research.. i'm pretty firm on this one

    from canada of course

good response time..contrast ratio and price.. for its size

    1. what do you guys think?
    2. is there something better for that price/cheaper?
    3. for those in canada.. can i find it cheaper somewhere else?
    4. Acer... how reliable is that brand? do any of you have it?

I wouldn't know about monitors, but for that money you get decent 32" LCD TV thats 1080p (Full HD).
And that would give you a greater experience than an 24" monitor.

Do some more research, 32" (even 37") TVs are really low in price this days.

yea... i did look at 32" 1080p tvs.. and they're almost double the price of a 24" monitor i want.. i'd really love to have the 32" but its way over my budget

At circuit city I bought a LG 32" 1080i for 700$. 3 Weeks now and it is all good.

As far as Acer, my bor has a monitor from them. It works great but looks ugly IMO
