I had a audio cd I copied once onto a regular memorex cd-r and it worked on my xbox. I burned it using disc at once as my setting , i found track at once setting didn't work for my xbox. Anyway, according to most forums I read I say your best bet is to use memorex or verbatim cd+rw's as boot discs and for game backups use Meromerox DVD+R and/or Verbatim DVD+R. DVD+R is more reliable then DVD-R but for people with ps2's dvd-r is better unless you have recently bought a new ps2 system. That's what thay say, I hope this helps.
