Hey guys. I remember I saw a thread here that mentioned what the best ps2 versions were for modding and avoiding laser burn-out. I am looking into buying a ps2 console and the DMS4 EZI Lite to install myself. So, before I do, I wanted to know what I should do. Thanks.

over time the ezi clips will kill your PS2... the ezi clips were used ages ago and droped by the duo chips.

get a v12 and swap magic discs. swap magic 3.3 runs stuff well and you cant break anything.

and the ps2 wont be the size of a microwave oven....

i have heard the V7 is the best, i have had one for years and it still works great.

And from what i have read the new DMS EZI chips are quite good.
they are not the same as the old Clip Type chips of the past.
