I was wondering if anyone has had any experience using either a Booster, Range extender (repeater) or the new High Gain Antennas on their Lynksys Wire Access Point Router. I have a new Netgear MP101 Digital music player downstairs and it keeps losing signal. I know it’s because there are several walls in the way. I want to avoid the Range Extender repeater due to lack of areas to place it (semi-concealed).

Walls shouldnt be THAT big a problem ...
    1. Can you adjust transmission intensity? (i only had my linksys for a couple hours, never messed with the settings, other brands have options to set transmission strength)
    2. What are the walls made of?
    3. What wireless mode are you using?
    4. Are there florescent lights?
