Best way to connect my notebook to my Big screen TV

    Hi,

    I have a HP DV5237d Notebook and tried to display it on my LCD screen TV and the results were horrible. Can anyone tell me what is the best way to get the best results on my TV, A peripheral, software, cable?

    We want to use it mainly for fantasy sports but to watch movies from my laptop and even using it as a giant monitor would also be cool.

    I figured I'd ask the experts of this forum.
