    Good afternoon all,

I'm going to show my age here, built this computer a year ago and working fine. Had to change out hard drive and re-install window XP HOME. Now for the life of me, I can not find in BIOS where to turn off the on-board sound card thats built into the mother board so my Creative Sound card will work. Please humor me and then make all the fun of me you want..

    Thanks for any info

It could possibly be a jumper on the motherboard somewhere near the sound chipset?

How you'd go about that would depend on what BIOS you have...

    Just what I was thinking..

Isn't it possible to use device manager, disable the onboard and use the pci instead?
