Last week got a XBOX probably ver 1.5.
Modded it with Alladin Advance 32 ... nothing else was available

    Loaded evox then loaded XBMC.
    Everything is working kool.

I met with a freaky problem though.
I had a few backed up games.
Burnt them on DVD+RW .. the disc played on my XBOX.
I burnt the same iso on another DVD+R media ... the game is not working. Xbox says unknown disc :(

So if any pointers r given... it wud be very helpful.

    Thanx in advance,

DVD-R's are the only media most xboxes recognize. I'm sure for some that +R's might work but it's not the rule.

It's not the + or - that determins wheather or not the xbox will or will not play the game. It's mainly to do with the type of dye that the media has on the underside.
And for all the people that say that xboxes don't play +R disk very good,I will have to say that of my 400+ games that I've "backed up" every single one of them are on +R and working fine. So that almost debunks that myth.
All I can say is remember what media you have (the name) and don't buy that brand again for xbox games.

    Hey guys,

It seems the issue is more related with the DVD drive.
What i came to know is the SAMSUNG DVD drive in my XBOX cannot read DVD+R format.Ironically the Thomson drive can read DVD+R :(
It seems to make samsung drive recognize or read DVD+R .. u need to do some bit setting to DVD-ROM and then take backup on DVD+R.

I still have to do this process. Will let you guys know whether it worked.

    Thanx for the help,
    Visux.
