I have an 1536/Kb/s dsl connection and cant get over 5 KB/s what the hell is going on
Your post really helps people. For a start there is certain ways to ask things, Example a please and thanks wouldnt go amiss.. No one knows what bit client you are using, What version of windows including service pack, Behind a router with ports forwarded. If you actually have any seeds or peers on your downloads.. Try to think before u post
I didn't know they made residential DSL lines at 1.5MB/sec
i have a 10 MB connection with a linksys WRT45G router.
this is the same problem i am having. if i download files less than 500 mb, my speede are like 150Kb. if it is over 500, then ther are like 10-20.
i have disabled all firewalls and fowarded ports.
It is because microsoft made it so that it cant get higher than 5kbs. You need to download a patch for it. I dont remember where I got mine from but I use bit comet and the average is 78kb/s and my highest was 127kb/s. I am on a 5mbps connection.
