Bitcomet so slow

    hi i am new to bitcoment so i dont know what im doing, ok so i go to mininova.org to try getting a movie for my sister and i fing it the seeders is like 100 and leachers is 30 so i click download torrent and it goes to bit comet and for abou 10- 20 mins it does nothjing finnaly it starts dloading but at 1 - 9 kbps. whats wrong do i need to change settings or sothing

    Sounds like you have a router that isn't forwarded or your ISP is blocking torrents. Do you see it here: http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Bad_ISPs You can also enable Protocol Encryption: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/395674 and what port are you using. Select one over 10,000 that isn't the default. And nothing to do with speeds but check into using Peer Guardian 2 by Phoenix Labs, a free blocker of known ip's of companies that report to the RIAA/MPAA, not 100% but very good.

    my isp wasent listed on the list, is that good or bad

    oh and i did all the stuff and im still getting 4 kbps and i havent looked at Peer Guardian 2

    That's good but the list is constantly being updated. What is your ISP; maybe someone knows?

    Don't know but isn't Road Runner Time Warner Cable?

    You could try downloading overnight outside their "peak hours" but anything with Warner in its title sets off alarm bells for me.
