How do you speed up the connection for world of warcraft, I opened up a couple of ports, but opening all of them takes too much time, there must be a better way. Also, I do have a router [bold]"Netgear Cable/DSL Web Safe Router Gateway RP614."[/bold] If you could help, that would be great.

Are you sure this is connection issue and not your computer just lagging because of its low specs? My friend and I played. He had 512mb of ram. He lagged so much. Tons at IronForge. The secound he got more ram. Another 1 gig he didn't lag at all. I'm thinking thats your issue more than anything. However, you could go check our your speed here

Just click start and see what you get for speed. Your upload will be low probably because cable companies like to limit it. Comcase is like 40-50 kbs/s. For upload I usually get around 700-800 kb/s.
