Boot up probs...now horizontal lines

    Foxconn WinFast mobo....amd athlon 64 3500+...Nvidia 6800GT card...2GB ram...Computer comes on, but monitor stays black. AFter hitting reset button about 20x, it posts....and works fine...This was days ago. NOW, same thing, but have horizontal lines on monitor. I'm thinkin the video card is shot, any other thoughts?

    do you have onboard video, seperate videocard or both?

    separate card...i just took out the RAM, and when i booted up..no beeps..that isn't good.

    get a known good card and try that

    I noticed the SATA power cord on the HD was loose....sooooo...I removed the sata power cord, and used the rregular molex...and voila....everything is fine
