my bootup screen never shows when i turn the computer on. how do i fix that?
what type of computer is it, and what is the operating system???
do you mean the POST ?? (like do you see windows loading, but nothing at the very start where it would usually tell you what to press to get into the BIOS)
its an hp pavilion,Windows Xp home edition, i see completley blackness untill it shows a 3 sec. blip of the mouse than that goes away and 5 sec. later the login menu appears.
wow thats a bit weird,
um you can give hp a call they have much better people then microsoft, and are much more helpful
but if the computer boots fast its not that big of a deal is it???
also try hibernating and see if you see something when it start to come out of hibernation
it doesnt boot fast, it takes 50 sec for it to show the mouse blip. ill try the hibernating thing., its not a laptop, ow do i hibernate, you mean standby?
EDIT: Oops don't know how this got here.
vista or xp?
Oh wow Waymon why does it matter? Xp or XP, its the same.
when it first boots up press f11 and then you can try a PC recovery, most hps and compaqs have this feature.
That was an accidental double post and I was refurring to mikeh0303 when he asked if it was vista or xp...
