Went and bought a DVD player that was multi format and was told was good for what I wanted. For your information it plays the following formats. DVD Video,DVD Audio,DVD Ram,DVD-R,CD,CD-R/RW,SVCD.VCD,JPEG.

If I have data that is Divx etc, do I have to convert it so that they will play on my player, Maybe it's a rubbish player?

Was going to purchase a KISS player but quite expensive so I opted for a Panasonic instead.

Many thank to all who reply.

Seeing as how Divx / Xvid ain't mentioned in your spec list, it ain't gonna play 'em, is it ???
You'll need to encode them to (s)vcd, do a search on how to perform this.
