I have no idea of what the adverages are.
I have got a Broadband 512/128 and it downloads at about 65kbps per second. I used to have 256/64 and it went at about 35kbps.

Anyone have a 1500/256 (or around that) set-up?...if so whats your adverage download speed?

What are the adverages or what do you get when downloading?

I have a 1500/386 DSL from earthlink and my average speed is 165KB/s DL and 45KB/s UL on a good torrent.

    This is getting confusing.

Download is when you are storing files onto your PC from the net (using Kazza, P2p, Torrent) and Upload is when you are loading something onto the net?

or is it the other way around.

    I have a 4mb account also I can max out at 530 kb/s

yes downloading is where you download of other pl
upload is where you share what you already have on your HD with others
