Ok I know this is going to sound like a really stupid question and it is. My desktop stopped working and I think it is the video card. My computer turns on (fans run, hard disks spin, the whole nine yards) but nothing is displayed, thats why I think its the video card. The only reason I'm not sure its the video card is that the computer does turn on but the keyboard doesn't get power i.e. the lights don't come on for caps lock, num lock, etc. So I guess what I'm asking is will a bad video card cause this lack of keyboard or am I looking at a bad motherboard? Thanks.

try another psu as that points toward your problem. also look at the can shaped silver topped objects that are capacitors on the motherboard as they are supposed to be flat topped not domed.
