you need to edit the one that's smallest in size. right click each one to see which is smallest..

Did you edit the smallest of the 2 flashers and type in your drive letter ??

(The ssmallest of the two is a shortcut to the real EXEcutable so to windows both are in effect executable)

I've had the same problem with my machine today after I rebuilt it.
I removed the VIA busmaster drivers from my system and now I can burn dvds again. I use for the moment the default VIA busmaster drivers that come with XP.

Did you check that the Busmaster drivers are the one from Microsoft?
You might also need to remove the chipset drivers from VIA

go to the desktop and do a right mouse click on my computer click on properties or press the windows key + Pause/break key.
now you have a new window called system properties. click on the tab hardware and select device manager.
Expand (click on the + sign) IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers.
There should be an entry called VIA IDE Busmaster or something like this.
Click with your right mouse button on that and select then driver.
What information does it show. The driver provider should be Microsoft.

@kurtp21 - nice one that you've made some progress for Wavid on this one, but you're gonna have to remove your address, the mods will get mad and spammers will get hold of it....
