Burn Trouble just started out of nowhere. I uninstalled and reinstalled latest version of Nero and put my key in. The only thing that I'm using different is 16x media. I usually use 1x - 16x. Hi. It's likely either your burner doesn't like the media or your burner is malfunctioning. Your burner firmware is up to date so that wouldn't seem to be the problem. Create an image file in whatever you're using for your authoring software and then burn that image with ImgBurn. If that works you'll know for sure your burner is working correctly. http://imgburn.com/index.php?act=download Otherwise try some different media like Verbatim which is usually easy to obtain nearly everywhere. You might also try some +R media as a test as well. You can also try going back to an earlier OS restore point. Can you burn CDs at all? You can also try uninstalling your burner with Device Manager and letting the OS reinstall it upon startup. - right click on My Computer and select Properties. - click the Hardware tab and then the Device Manager button. - expand IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers. - right click on the Secondary IDE Channel and select Uninstall. - OK - Restart the system. As a last resort, physically uninstall your burner and reinstall in a friend's system and verify that it works correctly. Did you run the Nero 7 Clean Tool before reinstalling Nero 7? If not, uninstall Nero 7 again, run the N7 Clean Tool and then reinstall. Hello, I'm having trouble burning all of a sudden. I have tried different media that were fine before but now are not working. I can however copy disc to disc.
