    Hi there,

I have Sony DVP-S550D DVD/VCD/CD player, Pioneer DVR-104 d2 U&I DVD R/RW external DVD burner, and Intervideo WinDVD Creator 3. I also have SONY DCR-HC40 Camcorder and Laptop with Firewire card. Recently, I tried to make a movie DVD using WinDVD Creator and successfully burned it into Maxell DVD-RW 4.7 GB, tried it on my 3 different laptops and it worked fine. But when I tried on my Sony DVD player, the player didn't recognize it (it said " No Disc" on the LED display).

    Help!!!!

    Thank you.

maby your standalone dvd player don't like dvd-r disks, go to this site and type in your model number of your player and see what it says that it will or won't play http://www.videohelp.com/
