    basically,

i have 3 hard drives and one cd burner.
on my primary ide, i put to hard drives,
and on my secondary ribbon, i have my burner and other drive.

i have it set up with the hard drive on secondary master,
and the burner on secondary slave.
for some reason, when i unplug the burner,
    my hard drive detects fine,
but when i do plug in my burner,
all it detects is the burner and not the hard drive.

what im 'thinking' of doing is setting the hard drive to master,
but i dont noe if that'll fix the problem and sounds really dumb.
im thinking since its on secondary master... im i supposed
to set the jumper on the hard drive to master?

    someone plz help...
this has been bugging me for a week.

you got it mate even though your on secondary channel you still need to set jumpers correctly,so should have hard drive jumper at master and burner jumper as slave.
