I have downloaded about 5 movies in SVCD format. Each in 2 or 3 parts. In each case I have encountered the following problem. When burning the SVCD to CD Nero will indicate the length of the movie is 45min, or 50min, etc, but once the movie is burned and the CD is put into a DVD player, it is only 40min. This is the case with each SVCD I have burned to disk so far. Can anyone explain this? Thanks.

Clips are still full length, right?

I assume that Nero estimates the length based on some static bitrate and as SVCDs can have VBR ( http://www.afterdawn.com/glossary/ ), the actual bitrate might be different than what Nero thinks it is.
