Hi, I'm trying to burn a 775meg PS2 image file to a DVD because when I burnt it onto a CDR it kept crashing.

I don't have overburn but when I open up Nero the image burns fine onto a 700meg CD (why??); however if I try burning the image onto a DVD I get this error message:

"Sorry, your compilation cannot be written on this kind of disc . Please insert a disc of the correct type or modify the settings of your compilation to make it compatible with the current disc"

HOW DO I MODIFY THOSE SETTINGS? What do I change?

Any larger image files I've had have always burnt fine but CDR-sized ones are obviously not so cooperative.

    Can anyone help?

all ps2 cd based games come on 74mins cds... theres no such thing that a ps2 game comes on 80mins cds.. apart for dvdrips but we talkin here about piracy.. since its hard to make dvdrips..

those games come on dvd.. so burn them on dvds duh... its probably dvdrips.. with missing things... dvdrips suck...

Just read your updated reply.... yes they are indeed DVDrips. I know they're a bit sucky but theyre better than my originals & I dont have particularly fast internet connection so a full DVD replacement isnt an option.

Still... does that mean I can't write them onto a DVD????

my dvd originals are scratched to shit they're not playing on anything.

but damnit so theres NO WAY to burn the dvdrips to DVD?

is there anything I can do to reduce the probability of the games crashing? worms & crash kart were fine really, just occasional music errors, but pro evolution is a disaster it crashes within the first few minutes of play

ok.... could you tell me how to try it anyway?

its just that i know when it comes to avi films my cdrs can be quite troublesome so im hoping a change of format at least could help (got old version ps2 as well).

also I just get curious when stuff I try to do hits stumbling blocks
