Is it possible to convert mpeg and avi files to dvd then burn it to a cd-r and play the cd on a dvd player? And if not is there any way I can burn avi and mpeg to a cd-r and play it on a dvd player that only supports audio cd, dvd, and mp3 formats.

You be looking at vcd, svcd, divx, xvid creation and a dvd player that MUST support these formats.

What you're talking about is known as a mini-dvd. I doubt your player will play them.

    No.
