    Hello,

I just got some new Taiyo Yuden DVD+R and I been getting burn errors with them. I am not sure if the issue is my firmware, I believe it up to date, or is the issue is with Nero. I never in the past had this kind of problem, and that included burning with lower quality media. I am wondering by posting my error log someone might be able to help me out. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried burning to the Toshiba drive, since you have it set to master?

I have tried this version and didnt like it, too many errors, so I upgraded to 7.5.9.0 from here

    http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?1881

Firmware is current so that shouldnt pose any problems, only thing I can suggest is upgrade Nero...otherwise things look OK.

I have upgraded to Nero 7.7.5.1 had one DVD burn flawlessly, except it is taking a long time to burn at 4x. Burns are now taking 20 minutes instead of the 12 to 13 minutes I used to see. The second disc became a coaster. I am wondering if there might be something that is causing my burns to take longer, and could this perhaps be the problem, or can anyone think of anything else I might check into. Thanks again for any input.

Why not post your Nero history log of the failed burn, I have yet to upgrade to latest version, I will stick with 7.5.9.0

You know I ran a virus scan on my computer and something has seriously effected my computer. I am thinking this is the cause of my problems. Thanks for the input, I will keep people informed on what happens next.

One last thing, still hoping someone can help or offer some info on this. Like I mentioned before I am using new Taiyo Yuden disc. They are inject printable which allows me to print on the hub. Could this be the issue? I am only wondering this because I tried with great success to burn with some Memorex disc and it burned flawlessly, and I am about to try with some silver labeled Taiyo Yudens that are not hub printable. I am wondering if anyone think that the printable hub could be the issue? Thanks in advance for all the help and suggestions I have received.

Have you got that Benq1650 set up with qsuite. I have 2 of those burners, they love 8X TYs+Rs, don't know about 16X +Rs. Your firmware is upto date. Try burning them @ 8X and then @16X if 8 unsuccessful. I burn my 8XTY+Rs @8X. Always successful.
