burning large iso file

    i have a iso file that is 4671mb, i have tried to burn using nero but overburning only allows 4600mb how do i burn the file onto a standard dvdr.

    Open the ISO in DVD Shrink to compress the size. Afterwards, burn the resultant files using Nero.

    i have tried using dvdshrink it wont do it comes up with the following error

    dvdshrink encountered an error and cannot continue
    invalid udf filesystem

    I presume this is a downloaded image file? Otherwise, how did you create it?

    yeah its a program, it works fine if i mount it using daemon tools, but it is for my wife to use on her laptop.

    DVD Shrink can only facilitate backup/compression of DVD movies. I'm afraid you're going to have to use a writeable dual layer DVD medium for this.

    You can try enabling overburning in your app.. some burners will allow a 2 or 3 % overburn.. but it may damage your drive.

    As this is a program iso you could have a look inside and see if there is anything you could strip out.. like say multi region languages.. then remake the iso so it has it's checksum intact.

    Even if you're somewhow successful overbutning the entire 4671MB, you have a very good chance that the disc will not be readable in many drives.
