I'd like to be able to burn my assorted movie files to a DVD that is playable on a regular player, some being .avi and some being Mpeg. I have successfully made a data DVD with Easy CD Creator, but cannot figure out how to just make a regular DVD. What should I do? Or what is a good program to do this with?

Please read through the numerous threads and even articles on this website to help you with that. You will need to convert .avi to work on a DVD and this may lower quality. You can also use CDR media to make VCD compliant videos which may also work on your standalone.
