When backing up movie files on to a DVD, i somethimes get a warnign message saying that after burn is complete DVD may ne unreadable continue yes/no i chose yes and it burns ok to the DVD, i try to play in my recorder and it comes out in black and white ? it changes the way the dvd playes it as it also changes the DVD start up screen even after disc is ejected the screen stays gray for a few seconds then returns to normal color.

Please help as to get rid of this message and play films in normal color

Are these dvd movie files possibly in PAL format and you are playing them on NTSC video format equipment?? That is usually what causes the Black & White type problem you are having. If they were possibly AVI files converted to dvd format, then the processing went wrong.

    James,

    USA is NTSC

UK is mostly PAL but can be NTSC too, Europe is PAL

20 hours is about right for PAL to NTSC -

Get the DVD's in the country you live in - then you won't worry -

    Cheers,
