I've seen a number of topics about burning cd to cd, but I can't find any about rom to cd. I have a couple roms (ps1) that I would like to play on my PS2. In most of the threads I read, they mentioned cd protection, cd burner speeds, and many other elements. Do these things apply to rom files? I would like to think they didn't but that would probably be too easy. If you can help with this or know a thread that answers these questions that would be appreciated.

The word Roms is applied to games recorded in cartridges (snes, nes genesis...etc) and you can burn them together with an emulator.
What you have from psx, are isos or images.
For those , just use alcohol 120% and is done.
If you have the isos or so, they have no protection

Probably you´re playing a NTSC game with a tv set PAL, or pal in a tn ntsc.
But if it´s the case, i think you should get black and white pictures.
    That´s a bit strange.
Perhaps somebody else who reads your post knows how to help.

Don't worry i figuered it out i had to select the .cue file instead of resi2.img in the burning window (Nero 5.somthing) but thanks for helping.

If I burn the PsOne Isos to CD using "imgburn" will I have any problems.
I don't want to download any new burning software like Alchohol 120% as it interferes with my broadband modem (don't ask)

I never used imgburn, so can´t say anything about, but my advice, is for you to use Alcohol, as it is compatible with all kinds of file tipes.
And Alcohol doesn´t interfere with your modem, the matter is: When you are burning a disc, the processor has much work to do with it, and slows down everything in your pc
