    Hi there,

-I have recently bought a new computer with the above mentioned dvd burner.
-I have researched this site for the proper way to burn with that particular burner using DVD Encrypter and burnt the .iso file.
-I backed-up GTA San Andreas with a Memorex DVD+R at 2.4x write speed(as this was a mentioned succesful burn with the Benq dvd).
-Anyways with a PS2(got mine when it first came out, so the earliest version, using Swap Magic 2.0, the game loaded and froze as it went into the opening sequence in the game(Carl at the airport).
-I must also mention that I updated the firmware with B8K9 from the Benq Site, so I believe it is up to date.
-Also I recieved NTI CD-Maker 6.0 with my computer and have it installed, and under drive properties, then under Write it says Medium Types: CD-R/RW.
-So now I am more confused as what went wrong and what type of DVD to use, possible better quality and/or use DVD-R's.
    -Any help would be appreciated.

Since you bought your PS2 a long time ago, you might want to try DVD-R...

But it did start...from what you claim...but it froze during the intro...

    916Prince,

Thanks for the suggestion, but I re-copied it using Nero and things are working fine so far. I guess I'll just need better quality disc so it will last longer. Does anyone know the best place to buy Ridata's in Canada?

Do you have Futureshop done there...the equivilent of Best Buy USA...

You can pick up Verbatim DVD+R, I picked them up and my ten pack has only burned one coaster...that's because I realized I didn't install my DVD Burner...haha...
