burning PS2 DVD (for back up)

    do i need to use a ripping program to first rip the dvd rom?

    I use PrimoDVD and select 'disc copy'. after 45 minutes i have a prefect working copy. The key is good DVD-R media. I use Verbatim.

    yes, u need i chip, i recomend not soldering it yourself.

    Its a b!tch soldering all 23 wires. It takes hours to complete. My brother in law wants a modchip in his PS2 after seeing mine. I recommended the nosolder and swap disc cause i didnt want to solder his.

    I use (as you all know now) Nero 5.5.9.17 and copie on the fly with my HP DVD+r/+rw 200i burner.
    In about 15-20 minutes I have a perfect copy even on DVD+rw !!!

    I have the messiah chip !
