Try the PS2 forums here for more support. In short, yes you can copy your PS2 games, but take note on a few things. Most PS2 games are of DVD size, so you need a DVD burner to copy them. Ones that aren't can be copied with a regular CD burner. You also need a modchip in your PS2 so it can read the burnt games. Scan through the PS2 forums here for more details.

"Swap magic" and a slide tool is cheap and easy. Not as convenient as throwing a chip in there though.

Slide tool is pretty cool though, it's what I used up until a few days ago. All you have to do is remove the draw front and off you go.

    OK....i'll explain.

You remove the draw front from the ps2 and leave it off.

You put a boot disc in...

    Wait for about 20 secs...

Use a special tool (slide tool) to open the draw....

    Put your copied game in.....

    push the draw shut....

Use the tool again to properly close the draw...

    Press X on the pad....

    Hey presto, the game loads.

Do a search on google for "swapmagic" and "slide tool"

I know that not ALL games will work using this method, but I have about 40 games and ALL of them worked fine.

The boot disc with the slide tool cost me 17 GBP in the uk (about 35 US dollars.

    Hope this helps.

I would highly consider a modded PS2 for playing backed up PS2 games. reason I say this is Im willing to bet your warranty has expired already and a modded PS2 will boot with no delay. just load an play, no swaping disc's or trying to find the release hook for the drawer.
