I burn rmvb files by converting them in winavi and then burn with nero.

But the quality is poor and nero is doing some converting itself and so I am thinking maybe the quality is suffering because of the two conversions - from rmvb to avi and then to nero's dvd format whatever that is.

    Is there a better way?

Someone posted that their nero just takes a rmvb file directly but I can't get mine to do that. Anyone know anything about that?

    Hi,

I use VSO ConvertXtoDVD to convert all my video files.

Read the above link for ConvertXtoDVD and Real Video files !

b18 is right. WinAVi is probably the best rmvb encoder. Don't convert to .avi first. With WinAVI you should be able to convert straight from rmvb to DVD-format(VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders). Burn thes folder by using the DVD-files option in Nero. This will prevent you from having to convert to avi then DVD. However, for all other encoding, I would agree with cougar and use convertxtodvd. Hope this helps.
