I have a DVD-X16 Burner. I am just able to burn a dvd recently. The only problem is that it takes about 2 hours to burn the dvd itself. I use DVD shrink and Nero the newest versions. It takes about a min to anaylize and 30 to read the dvd. But when it comes to burning it takes about 1hour 45mins-2hours. I don't know what to do. It claims to be burning at 8X but obviously isn't. I'm pretty sure its not my processor since it is pretty much brand now. Help me please

You need to ensure that DMA mode is enabled. Sounds as if you are in PIO mode.

Burning at 4X should take 13 to 15 minutes.

Nevermind I found out how to put my primary and secondary in DMA mode. The only thing is that they were already in DMA mode. Another suggestion? What does making it master mean?
