    I have a working dream box DM 500S, how can I know its c line and which software needs to be changed or reloaded after 6 to 12 months.

    well for example if you paid for 6 months from October 1 2013 then the line (all being well )should probably go off the last day of march 2014 . you could make a note of the day your line started and the day it should end , that might be the easiest solution .

    if you want to know your c line you will have to use dream control center to access your box (or tuxbox) so that you can access the cccam.cfg file .as your asking this that must mean you bought the box all setup so then chances are that the seller password locked the hidden menus , that would be the normal thing .that means you cant access cccam.cfg unless you get the password or reflash the box.

    all being well you shouldn't need to change any software etc in your box , so the only thing you need to worry about really is the c line .

    You need to go out at the weekends and worry less about a cheaper solution. It is possible that there is a cheaper solution but what are you trying to achieve. You can't sell on a Cline, your Cline goes dead after a certain amount of time so what do you want, maybe an infinite Cline:) . well funny
