Problem call of duty world at war patches

    please someone help i got my son cod world at war for pc i installed but i want to install the patches so he can play zombies now this is where it goes wrong i install 1.2 patch that's fine but when i install 1.4 i get error message saying it cant find install folder i checked folder the start up application has gone.
    i have uninstalled 3 times still same message.
    Now i had a cracked version and all patches worked fine but i decided i wanted the original so i uninstalled the game and installed original.
    please help im pulling my hair out here thanks

    Run CCleaner on the application to clear any past files. Have you tried that?
