Hi, i have a dvd recordable (pioneer) and i want to save what i have in a dvd-rw. I already transfer the file into my pc and is in .vob. However i am having problems burning it into a dvd-r. Can anybody help me. I tried almost everything. Dvd shrink doenst read it so i cant encode it with that program, and nero is not working either
hi this .vob ? is it the only file you got? and this dvdrw does it have a dvd film on that plays ok in standalone players etc? if not whats the vob from?
yess it is is a file of 3 gigs, i alredy tried re name in it video_ts but nero is not burning it correctly
ok now to play on a dvd player it needs its IFO and its BUP file! download IFOEDIT and click the button CREATE IFO and keep same destination folder as vob! then you should have ifo/bup/vob nero can burn this and it should load to dvd shrink too, infact load to shrink for testing its 99% ok before burn!
the files in nero have to placed in the folder nero makes called VIDEO_TS... to get to this in nero click ADD-Video button/tab or set dvd shrink to output to dvd decrypter!
originally the files where .vro i just rename it to .vob because i read that somewhere, could it be that? and how do i transfer the files to .vob from .vro
hi could try this! MPEG2Works (not sure what output you get? vob?) or rename to XXX.mpeg and try tmpgenc plus (get to dvd compliant) or after remaned to mpeg drop to tmpgenc dvd author on add file tab!
Rotary, I have a similar problem. Maybe it is the sequencing of process that causes the problem. It starts out with me having a dvd which has three folders: audio_ts, video_ts and video_rm. I want to split this 5 hours dvd into two 2.5 hours dvds but DVD shrink does not recognize this disk at all. I then use DVD decryter to exact all the VOB files and now I am having similar problem burning the dvds. I have tried using IFOedit to create the ifo and bup files but still Dvdshrink does not recognize the data. Any thoughts,
hi what app made these? did you make them? audio_ts, video_ts and video_rm just copy and paste the vob ONLY! files to a folder... then use ifoedit to make bup and ifo files then try to load to shrink! keep ifoedit destination folder the same as vobs! if you have done the above just try coping from the disc you have, copy and paste, DONT RIP! do all the vobs play in powerDVD ok? and load the vobs one by one to AVICODEC to tell me what it says for each line of info!
Rotary maybe you can help me: Plextor PX-716A Fujifilm DVD-R Roxio Creator 7.0 I have all the .bop .ifo. .bup files Burns correctly (I think) - plays in my PC DVD-ROM just fine - but when I put disc into a Oritron DVD4119 it says "bad disc" - now - I called Oritron and they said that I need to "finalize" the disc. Any truth in this? I have also tried with a Verbatim DVD+R disc and got the same problem. What am I doing wrong?
hi there Delgado69 ok, lets see what you did so far? can you run me through the whole process! and also what apps were used? and what you are trying to get? and what from? but i must add ROXIO either works 100% or it DOESNT! badly! yes finalize is VERY IMPORATANT!!! dont leave a disc open!
There was not a "finalize" button to select before the burning process. I dl'd a Phish show from the 'net that came up in 2 folders (1st set and 2nd set). Each folder has(from memory - at work and don't have it in front of me) .ifo .bup _ts .vob files - I select all of them to be burned. I select 8X speed(have also tried 4X speed) and it burns fine - plays fine on my DVD-ROM. When I try to play it on the standalone it reads bad disc. Am I missing a component of the dl somewhere? Should I have a table of contents or title folder or something? The actually video files dl'd and were recognized as .wna (winamp) files and play fine in winamp. Do I need to do something to the video files?
hi winapp may of been the last app loaded to your pc and took over all video playing jobs so not a prob there... now you say you have vob/ifo/bup files! were they burnt in a folder called VIDEO_TS spelt excatly like that? WHAT APP DID YOU BURN WITH? DID THE FILES NEED COMPRESSING? TO DVD-5 SIZE? infact how big were the total files you got?
