No backups can be played online. Period. No matter what bootup method is used. New games now have DNAS protection. When burned this does not transfer. So any backed up game will NOT play online. It will play as the normal game if burned onto a DVD disc but not online.

go to www.ps2nfo.com and go to the forums.
it is now possible to play backups online with a simple patch to the dnas file.

The forums don't work...I registered an account and it still won't let me access the forums.
