I feel like I should be able to open explorer, drag and drop my mp3 files onto a DVD and write, but I can't. Is this possible and if so, is there a specific program I need? My goal is to backup my computer music collection on a single rewritable DVD to edit as the collection grows.

    Thanks for all input.

    Hiya jam4

It is most certainly possible - but how you do it depends on what operating system you are using and/or what burning software you have.

If you have Nero or Nero Express you can select to make an actual MP3 DVD disc and drag and drop the files you want to store on the dvd. Again how you do that depends on what version of Nero you have.

Record now will also also let you select individual files or folders.

If you are using WindowsXP and have your IMAPI CD burning service enabled you can simply right click on the files and folders that you want and send to your burner. When you've got enough files together then you can burn them to the disc.

    Hope that helps.
