Hi, I currently have a single main drive and I am thinking of changing this to an SSD, I then thought of having 2 SSD's in a raid 0 config, would I be able to take an image of my current drive and apply it to the raid array?

    Thanks,

No, unless your OS is in an existing RAID 0 array, you won't have the RAID drivers installed on that image so you can't just copy over. Sorry but you'll have to RAID 0 the drives and then do a clean install.

FYI, truth be told is only nincompoops do RAID 0 as it's purely for performance (which you won't see a gain using SSDs because they're already super fast) and is NOT FAULT TOLERANT so if one drive does by chance go down (yes, even SSDs can break) then you will lose ALL YOUR DATA.........PERIOD.

Do yourself a favor and don't RAID or at least RAID 1 (mirroring)
