Hi every one, I just want to ask if i can play burned DVD RW's in my ps2 without a chip?
I would use dvd-r discs and if you don't want a modchip you can just get a flip top with swap magic.
what if i cant get the [bold]flip top[/bold]?
i just want to know if burnt DVD RW's games are going to work without a [bold]modchip[/bold]
Ps2 games are actually pressed DVD/CD discs, they are not burned. Original games use the Burst Cutting Area (BCA) of the disc to identify themselves to the PS2 unit. The BCA is not part of a disc that you can burn on, it is only replicated on pressed discs.
So, the only way to play backups is to get boot-discs or a mod-chip.
Even with a modchip and/or swap discs you cant USE RW
You must use +r or -r
I just installed my fliptop
that thing is hideous, lol
allright thanks for the information.
