I have a heap of concert DVDs that I want to put on my iPod. I've got plenty of software to encode MP3s from CDs but need to know if there's anything that will rip just the audio from my DVDs.

    cheers

With SmartRipper you can extract audio streams to separate files. Depending on what format the audio stream is use either any .wav -> .mp3 frontend like LameDrop or BeSweet.

To split to separate files you can:
    - Tell SmartRipper to extract chapters seperately
    - use a wave editor (e.g. Nero Wave editor) to split *before* encoding to mp3
    - Use mp3direct cut to split the mp3 file. This could lead to smaller gaps between tracks._X_X_X_X_X_[small]AFTERDAWN FORUM RULES: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2487[/small]
