    Folks,

i've been transfered to the states from next month and would like to know if i can take my PAL Samsung LCD Series 5 TV to the states NTSC? I understand that it will need a transformer to change the voltage, thats a given, but what about the Frequency and general change to an NTSC environment.

    All help welcome.

    thanks.

these days it shouldn't be a problem.. unless it's been specially produced for "europe only" to stop the watching of 60hz/525 broadcast media. Does it do "pal 60" .. if so then you should be just fine except you might not get colour.

To receive OTA broadcasting in North America, the TV requires an ATSC tuner.
A converter box with composite or S-Video output might be an acceptable substitute.
The converter outputs NTSC video - I understood that the likes of PAL sets in the UK could accept it.
